About Me
First I will start with the technical stuff, then I will continue with more personal stuff:
My name is Stacey and I live in Corvallis, Oregon. I have a BS in Mathematics from Oregon State University and I have been tutoring for more than 11 years. I help students with a wide variety of math abilities: those who dislike math, those who love math, those who struggle with math, and those who excel in math. I truly enjoy helping students of all abilities.
I also run a private tutoring company, where I have a team of tutors who work one-on-one with K-12 and college students.
I plan to return to college to complete my Masters degree (which is in progress) when my daughter gets a little bit older.
My husband is my best friend and my 1-year-old daughter is amazingly fun. Family & friends are most important to me. I play chess and poker, and very much miss playing basketball. I am part Asian.
I joke around a lot. Most of what I say is probably laced with humor. Even as I blog, I try to keep things fun. I hate to admit that some days I watch way too much TV (but I record the shows, so I can at least skip the commercials). I absolutely love electronics – phones, iPods, computers, you name it — can never have too many. I like to shop for anything.
One of my favorite things to do is to give gifts. I love giving people gifts.
I wish I traveled more.

I found you because of your reply on my twitter account prez_planet. I’m an undergrad majoring in astrophysics, and I will always have a math question of some kind.

Hey, thanks for the compliments. I love math, but most importantly for me is that I love helping others with math (those who like it and those who don’t). I run a tutoring company, but don’t tutor as much as I used to due to having a baby.

Thanks! I wanted to let you guys know a little bit about who I really am.
I only played basketball in high school — I was a much better leader and “coach” than I was a player, though I really enjoyed it. I was always a post/center (but only being 5’8″ made for a short career).
I love playing on computers and probably should know more about them…. I love my Mac!

You have helped me many times in the past. I love the fact that you get back asap. Im taking an online college math class and when i need help my teacher is never available. Plus your on Twitter which is even easier for me to get help when I need it the most. Thanks for being there to help
